Elopement & MicroWedding Faqs

What's an Elopement?
Elopements are an intimate ceremony that is simple and personalized to the couple. It's a more of a non-traditional ceremony to celebrate the matrimony of two people; an intimate affair if you will. An elopement offers a more intentional experience without the high cost of a traditional wedding. There's no longer the stigma of the "run away and get married" type of thin, although it can be if you want that! The modern day elopement involves the two of you and can include an intimate, small guest list of 20 people or less.
Why choose an Elopement?
An elopement is all the romance, none of the financial and planning stress. It's more about you and your love, without the big focus on throwing a party for everyone else, keeping the focus on what matters most. You actually get to enjoy your special day and bask in the love you're celebrating. The big plus side to an elopement is the affordability. Less money on a wedding means you have more to start building your future and life together. Elopements are a beautiful, budget-conscious alternative mainly because there's less coordinating involved for under 20 people. Once you go over 20 people, you really need more infrastructure and event management.
What's the difference in an Elopement versus a Micro Wedding?
An elopement is very simple and can last from one hour to four hours, depending what add-on's you choose. It includes a ceremony with an officiant, photography and can include an intimate picnic for the bride and groom and even a cake and champagne toast.
A micro wedding can involve all this and more, and usually goes for 4 hours with more photography time, depending on your selection. It includes a ceremony and wedding/reception seating for guests, usually a simple menu of bites like charcuterie and/or hors d'oeuvres, maybe even a catered meal, a wedding cake or something comparable and beverages.
Can Elopements or Micro Weddings include traditional wedding practices?
Absolutely! The good news is both types of ceremonies can include bits and pieces of whatever you envision for your wedding day. There are no rules other than the time allotment for your event. We love that couples can be creative with their special day and that we can help make their vision a reality!
